I escaped the Bible Belt for a few days this week and headed up to New York City, probably my favorite city in the world. I spent most of the time just walking around Manhattan, people-watching and soaking up the atmosphere. It’s so familiar and different all at once – I can’t get enough.
New York is one of those familiar places (and one of many I have called ‘home’) where it doesn’t occur to me to take pictures. This time around I had to keep reminding myself to pull out the camera, but I did manage to record some of it. Here are a couple scenes from downtown:

I miss NYC. I need to go back there soon… But, I think my fav. city in the world (so far) is London=:)
I was just at all the places your pictured! Except I was with 170 teenagers. I enjoyed Chinatown and Little Italy very much.
I live in NJ about an hour from NYC..we go in to see shows time to time. My husband ADORES NY, but cities make me nervous! Loved the pictures though…
I’ve visited NCY several times “on business” and deeply regret that I had absolutely no free time to explore and get to know the city. So much I’d have loved to have seen. Mahalo (thank you) for sharing some of the highlights of your own trip!
