While I’m glad that the Germans adore Obama as much as I do, I found this to be a little much (it’s the intro for DSDS, the German version of American Idol).

Perhaps because this might be actionable? I think it’s crap to dub an ad into the president’s mouth. If this is ok, then we can just dub anti-American sentiments as well.
I also think it might be actionable. However, I was happy to read that many of the commentors thought this was ridiculous of RTL to do.
I’m guessing it’s OK because it’s so clearly not real – so it falls under parody or satire or something. Whatever law allows Hustler to say that Jerry Falwell had sex with his mother.
Even the American accent is wrong!
