Italy: Bolzano’s colorful market

I could have wandered up and down this street all day.

Not that Munich doesn’t have a nice market; it does. But for some reason everything looks more delicious when it’s in Italy.

Luckily we didn’t have to just look.

We came home with many delicious Italian treats from this market.

My husband gets credit for most of the photos. He was shooting away while I was buying as much as I could carry.

  1. Was that by chance am Obstplatz? I think that was that marketty street about halfway between Waltherplatz and the river with all the green wooden stalls lining the street.

    Bozen macht Spaß.

  2. Gorgeous pictures! I'm heading to Italy on Thursday can't wait to see the markets. I love the European flower/fruit markets so pretty. Enjoy your trip.

  3. We loved Bolzano. While on ski holiday we headed down into the valley on a Saturday and walked around town.
Did you pay a visit to Ötzi? He was fascinating. Great museum.

  4. one of these days i will get to italy, will get in contact with you and we will shopshopshop the markets and eateateat the food!

the photos just make me wish to be there NOW!

  5. Looks quite tasty. I think food always looks better when you're somewhere on vacation, compared to the same exact stand in the town where you live.

But I can't think of anywhere that compares to the 10-butchers-in-a-row in Viktualienmarkt. Wait… the massive meat market in Athens. Hmm.

  6. Greetings from Iceland!

The pictures of those red peppers and nuts made me just want to cry. The produce in our local grocery stores are awful… I want to be in Italy! And eat everything in sight!
