@ian in hamburg: “Etage” is fairly common in German, I think… at least it is here in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, but of course our vocabulary is a bit different from that of the Germans and sometimes influenced by French. By the way, that’s funny, too: an English “producer” being located in the second floor (2. OG = “Obergeschoss”) but German “Produktion” in the fourth 🙂
After the Finance Crisis, the Germans are finished. There is no way around it. Look forward to a lost decade here, like Japan’s.
