Munich: ’tis the season and all that

There are basically three things I’d like to communicate with this post.

red leaf covered in ice crystals

1. Munich is cold and snowy.

2. There are Christmas markets everywhere.

3. I like it.

Wait, one more thing: if you find yourself at the market at Chinesischer Turm* in the English Garden, try the reiberdatschi (fried potato pancakes) and the white glühwein. Lecker.

* I am amused to see that I blogged about the reiberdatschi at the Chinesischer Turm two years ago, too. I think this means it’s time to move somewhere new.

  1. @Richard – Best time of the year!

@Kathy – Thanks! Scott took the first one – he came home with lots of lovely macro shots of ice crystals one day.

@Expattraveler – Yeah, we could do a lot worse than Munich. But we’re coming up on three years here, which is longer than I’ve lived anywhere in my adult life. The itch for somewhere new is starting to get me.
