Snowy Prague

Greetings from Prague!

the Christmas tree is guarded

It’s cold and snowy here.

Luckily we came prepared, with long underwear and sturdy boots.

The hot wine at the Christmas markets helps, too.

Don’t you love the squeak of newly-fallen snow under your feet?

We are quite happy that our rented apartment has a fireplace.

  • Wow, Prague looks completely different in the snow. We were there this October and it looked magical then – but looks gorgeous now! Thanks for sharing these pics.

  • I had the same thoughts as Orangeslash! What a different place it is in the winter!

  • Ooh, jealous! I’d love to see Prague in the snow. Your photos are the next best thing. :)

  • Yikes. I was in Prague for New Year’s two years ago, was verrrry cold. But it still looks good. This year I’ll be doing Berlin (also hoping to stay there at least until till spring), it doesn’t look much warmer at the moment. ;)

  • Magical, the perfect place to be for the holidays. Memories coming back of my visit 7 years ago – vaulted ceilings in the castle, statues on the bridge, the vegetarian restaurant by the town hall. Enjoy :)

  • What beautiful pictures! I’m super jealous! My hubby spent a few months in Prague two years ago and still raves about it constantly. I would love to visit some day and let him show me all the places he enjoyed so much. Have a wonderful Christmas!! ICLW #110

  • I am fairly well travelled, but haven’t been to any of these places…Prague, Faroe Islands or Berlin. Your photos are gorgeous, so hopefully I will get there someday. I searched around your site but didn’t find out exactly what you are doing and why you are over there. I will drop by again, hopefully finding out more about your story.

    Happy Christmas,

  • I was an expat for over 6 years and loved living abroad – I lived in Geneva Switzerland. I loved all the traveling and the history and the beauty. I miss that. But I also love being back in the U.S.
